ProEduca Sinaloa IAP
We are a nonprofit organization with 21 years of experience improving children’s educational quality by bringing the school community together.
Our main programs are “Juguemos a Emprender”, “Activación de Consejos Escolares de Participación Social” and “Escuelas Alegres”. Today we work in 118 highly vulnerable public primary schools in Sinaloa and two primary schools in Acacoyagua, Chiapas.
Since 2003, 77,000 children have benefited from entrepreneurship and financial-education classes. We have also reached 36,000 parents, teachers and school leaders through workshops and the activation of School Social Participation Councils.
We currently coordinate eleven institutions to collect supplies for public schools through Red por la Educación.

Theory of change and strategic objectives
Theory of change
Our Theory of Change states that, when we strengthen, empower and develop self-management skills among the core groups in educational communities:
1. Parents and guardians. 2. Teachers and school leaders.
They will manage the human and material transformations needed to improve their schools and students’ educational experience.
Schools will therefore help improve children’s and young people’s academic success and social integration—our vision of success.
We also work with:
3. Children in the upper primary grades, ages 10 to 12.
Through playful activities designed to awaken their entrepreneurial spirit, they propose and develop a product or service that addresses a need, problem or aspiration in their surroundings. They then launch a business and create a company. This experience can help them pursue their goals, continue studying, and support our country’s economic growth and development in the future. We promote entrepreneurship as a lawful route to income generation and economic sustainability.
General objective:
Help ensure the academic success and social integration of Mexican children and young people by strengthening schools and educational communities.
Strategic objectives:
- Social, financial and vocational education for children and young people through “Juguemos a Emprender”.
- Integration, strengthening and empowerment of educational communities through “Activación de Consejos Escolares de Participación Social”.
- Restoration and improvement of school infrastructure through “Escuelas Alegres”. Together with Fundación Coppel, national business groups, foundations, embassies and regional entrepreneurs, we invest in school restoration while considering each school’s progress in activating its community through the CEPS.
